He became the first Asian male to clinch a victory in a major tournament. Hall of Famer Pak Se-ri was a pioneer that opened doors for other Korean female golfers on the LPGA Tour. While Korean has seen many progolfers make a name for themselves worldwide, golf is still considered a sport for the upper class in the country.
